I know the image of an old person is generally not linked to a dreamer but that is just what this blog is all about. Many think that when you get to be a certain age you are just supposed to “sit back and watch”, your dream days are behind you. To that I say poppycock…. 🙂
Dreaming is a lifelong process that never ends. My earliest dreams were to try to touch the sky, hence the name for this blog. For some reason I have always been attracted to looking up. Even as a very young boy I could be found lying in the grass on a summer night looking up at the stars and dreaming about them and what the future might hold for me. I was just a dreamy kid and have been all my life. The sky to me was, and still is, the epitome of beauty. How could all those bright lights up there just be hanging in the sky so many miles away? Those nights in the dewy grass started me on a lifelong journey that will not end until I take my last breath.
Dreaming is a natural process for all of us. Some of us embrace it and some of us allow the darker sides of life to stifle it. Without dreams there are no ambitions. Without dreams there is no future. This blog is about dreams and how to grab them and not let go. If you want to get a glimpse into my dreamworld then come back often. You just may be inspired by my sixty plus years of dreams.
One thing this blog will NOT be about it the negative side of life. I try to leave that behind when I enter 2TouchtheSky. They have no place in my dreams and neither does fear. Welcome to the journey, sometimes it will be surreal and sometimes off-the-wall. But that is just the kind of guy I am.
While I blog about the world over at RJ’sCorner I reserve the happier side of life for this blog. The “In Search of America” category is a major part of that activity. I have traveled to all fifty State with my camera in hand and with history in mind. I share that experience with you along with the almost 20,000 photos I have taken along the way.
